The meeting point for the guided glacier tour is at 08:05 am at the valley station in Hintertux, right in front of the Tuxertal Ski School. After ascending together with the glacier buses, the skiing adventure begins...
Accompanied by an experienced guide from the Tuxertal Ski School, who knows the large ski area, the Zillertal mountains, and the Tuxertal like the back of their hand, you’ll discover the most beautiful runs, breathtaking views, and plenty of skiing fun. Over 60 kilometers of slopes of all difficulty levels and more than 15,000 vertical meters are waiting to be explored in a single day – from the eternal ice & wide slopes of the Hintertux Glacier, across the panorama at Penkenjoch, all the way down to the sun-drenched slopes of the Rastkogel. And in between, a short stop for a skier’s snack provides the necessary energy before heading back to the slopes for the next descent.
The tour ends at the valley station of the Rastkogelbahn, from where you can comfortably take the free ski bus back to Hintertux. An unforgettable day of skiing full of highlights and variety – and if your calves are burning at the end, you’ll know you did the glacier tour right!
